<image:caption>Do you long for a deeper sense of belonging—to yourself, to others, to the world around you? Are you feeling isolated, stuck, or weighed down by life’s heaviness? Do you crave creative expression and a space to reconnect with your inner wisdom? Join us for a 6-week in-person Expressive Arts Therapy group designed to help you return to yourself and reclaim your sense of belonging. Through sound, movement, poetry/ writing, drawing, imagination, and somatic practices, we will explore personal and collective themes, opening our senses to listen more deeply. With nature as our inspiration and grounding force, we will engage in creative and embodied rituals that honor the wisdom already within you. This is a space to remember, reconnect, and reawaken—to the aliveness of being, the richness of your intuition, and the great wonder and mystery of life. What to Expect: Guided individual and collective activities designed to foster self-discovery and connection A supportive space to explore your inner world and its connection to the landscape of others A somatic, embodied approach to healing beyond traditional talk therapy Rituals and creative practices that help you express, nurture, and reclaim yourself A structured process where no personal histories or stories need to be shared—expression happens through the art</image:caption>

<image:title>Home - How We Help</image:title>
<image:caption>In the aftermath of trauma, our physiology will tell us to do just one thing: survive the next moment. As this internal alarm sounds, our bodies become a fearful place to dwell. We can help you look safely inward, and observe what is happening in your body. We can help you develop skills that allow you to respond to what is truly in the moment. With time and practice, the trauma survivors’ body begins to know that the danger is past, allowing for a whole new experience of being. At WellSpace, we believe that healing from trauma means doing much better than just surviving. It means being available to the present without the past invading and taking over. Healing means looking to the future differently, and with hope. Giving people that hope is our mission.</image:caption>

<image:caption>Sound & Somatic Integration for All Sound & Somatic Integration is a facilitated group experience that brings together guided meditation, somatic awareness, breathwork, and an intentionally crafted live soundscape to support nervous system regulation, emotional integration, and embodied awareness. Our nervous system is continuously responding to sensory information from both within and outside the body. Sound, rhythm, breath, and focused attention can influence arousal and provide powerful sensory cues that help shift the nervous system away from states of heightened activation or overwhelm and toward greater regulation, grounding, and restorative calm. By combining sound with somatic practices, participants are invited to notice internal sensations, changes in breath, muscular tension, emotion, and other signals of autonomic state. This process supports interoceptive awareness—the brain’s capacity to perceive and interpret signals arising from within the body—and can help strengthen the connection between physiological state and conscious awareness. Rather than simply listening to sound, participants are invited to experience sound as a whole-body sensory process. Rhythm, resonance, vibration, and periods of silence provide a changing sensory environment in which attention can soften, bodily responses can be observed without judgment, and new experiences of regulation can emerge. The session is facilitated by a Registered Social Worker and integrates clinically informed principles of nervous system regulation and somatic practice. Services provided by a Registered Social Worker may be eligible for reimbursement under some extended health insurance plans. What to Expect A brief group check-in and accessible psychoeducation exploring the relationship between sound, sensory processing, the body, and nervous system regulation. Guided breathing, somatic awareness, and a body scan integrated with an immersive live soundscape. Instruments including quartz crystal singing bowls, chimes, percussion, and voice are used to create variations in rhythm, resonance, frequency, and vibration, encouraging deep listening and awareness of the body’s responses. Opportunities to notice changes in breathing, muscle tension, internal sensation, emotional state, and overall level of activation as the soundscape evolves. Space toward the end of the session for group sound-making, allowing participants to move from receptive listening into active expression and shared sensory experience. A period of integration and gentle processing before returning to everyday activity. No previous experience with meditation, somatic practice, or sound work is required. Participants are encouraged to engage at their own pace and to approach the experience with curiosity rather than striving for a particular state or outcome.</image:caption>

<image:title>Sound Healing - Laura Notton Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, Certified Sound Therapy Practitioner</image:title>
<image:caption>Laura’s approach bridges traditional clinical practice with somatic awareness and the therapeutic use of sound to support nervous system regulation and help clients feel more grounded and embodied. In 2018, Laura began integrating sound therapy into her clinical practice, bringing together her extensive trauma training and long-standing connection to music and sound. She facilitates group sessions that incorporate breathwork, body awareness, and immersive sound experiences using quartz crystal singing bowls, chimes, percussion and voice. These sessions are designed to help participants shift out of stress states and into a more grounded, restorative state of being. Clients are introduced to simple ways sound can support their physical and emotional regulation outside of the session. Laura has facilitated group sound bath experiences for healthcare centres, the Government of Ontario, the University of Toronto's Rotman School of Management, Sheridan College, and wellness retreats. Her work is informed by training in Sensorimotor Psychotherapy, Internal Family Systems, Relational Cultural Therapy, mindfulness practices, restorative yoga, trauma-informed care, and energy-based techniques that support mind-body awareness and overall emotional regulation.</image:caption>
