Jan Ohm Registered Psychotherapist

j

I am thrilled to bring my clients both cutting-edge methods and technology. Seeing folks stabilize, experience calm, and find life easier to contend with gives me tremendous satisfaction. My job is to support people on their healing journey, and ultimately, to make myself redundant.

That is my goal.

Jan Ohm

Clinical Director, RP

Jans’ own journey with healing began with chronic physical issues that wouldn’t resolve by means of modern medicine. Exploring alternatives led Jan to discover the connection between psychological stress and physiological issues, and inspired her to become a psychotherapist.

A student and teacher of Tai Chi Ch’uan since 1987, Jan delved deeply into mindful awareness of the body through movement. The discovery of Sensorimotor Psychotherapy offered a way to bring the richness of her experience into psychotherapy, leading to her specialty in trauma and dissociative disorders, and the creation of WellSpace Trauma Therapy Clinic.

Zahra Haji Psychotherapist WellSpace Therapy

I continue to marvel at how quickly clients find lasting relief from years of anxiety, depression and trauma when the body is included in therapy.

Zahra Haji

Psychotherapist, RP

Zahras’ entry into trauma therapy began through her work with women’s struggles with fertility related to conception, miscarriage and loss. It was there that she discovered how new life in all its vulnerability brings us right up against our most fundamental needs of safety in existence, the fear of loss of life, and into the realm of trauma. Zahra brings a solid background in mindfulness meditation and yoga to her attachment-focussed work. With a deep appreciation for the wisdom of the body, Zahra is committed to healing through a body-oriented and holistic approach that integrates all aspects of the self and psyche.

Penny Firth-Eagland

Psychotherapist, RP

If something has you stuck, something from the past or something persisting here and now, Penny, offers an assisted process of discovery that listens to both story and body. Combining psychodynamic inquiry with somatic, body-oriented work, she helps bring unconscious dynamics, core beliefs, sensations, tensions, impulses, and emotional patterns into mindful awareness. Her approach invites curiosity, compassion, and a slow turning inward toward what has been ignored, repressed, or held too tightly. With time, rigidity can soften; agency and authenticity can reunite. The way through is not imposed. It is uncovered, already waiting within your own body, mind, and spirit.
